Pedro Ramírez Vázquez

He was born in Mexico City in 1919. He studied architecture at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) [National Autonomous University of Mexico], where he later became professor of Urban Planning and Design. He was the first Rector of the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (UAM) [Autonomous Metropolitan University], and has also taught and lectured at many universities around the world.

He studied Civil Engineering and earned master's and doctorate degrees in engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) [National Autonomous University of Mexico]. He conducted a research stay at Harvard University. He is a Researcher Emeritus of the Instituto de Ingeniería [Engineering Institute] of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) [National Autonomous University of Mexico]. |

Leonardo Ríos Guerrero

He studied chemical engineering at the Facultad de Química [Faculty of Chemistry] of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM), where he also earned a Master’s degree. He obtained his PhD in Science at the Claude Bernard University in Lyon, France. He is one of the main promoters of technological innovation, with which he is thoroughly familiar because of his first hand experience in academia, private industry and the public sector.
